About Me

During my time as reporter and Photo Editor of a weekly newspaper in Polson, Mont. I fell in love with the towering mountains, deep forests, rolling hills, scenic rivers and of course, the great people and laid-back lifestyle of the wild west. Photography was my window to the diversity in cultures from Native American life on the Flathead Indian Reservation to rodeos and mountain goats... sometimes all in the same day.

What I love about documentary work is its innate ability to offer endless opportunity for discovery. I hope my work inspires you to explore our world and cherish its uniqueness as I have come to do. I also hope it sparks in you the same excitement I feel when that fleeting moment of truth is captured forever.

An avid adventure racer, I find thrill and comfort in outdoor sports like trail running, mountain biking, boating and climbing. I am especially attracted to the longer, more mentally gruelling events and completed my first full-length expedition race, Primal Quest Montana in 2008. My team of four marched 550+ miles on blistered feet, cold, wet, hungry and sleep deprived to reach the finish line in just under 8 days. It was an experience I will never forget and always appreciate.

Thank you for visiting my site. Life is an adventure, so get out there and explore.
